eBike insurance recommendations

Been thinking a lot about eBike insurance lately and wanted to get some community input. My new Class 3 eMTB is a significant investment, and with all the awesome trails and even some city commuting I do (usually 20-30 miles per ride), I'm starting to feel a bit exposed. Has anyone here had good experiences with specific eBike insurance providers, or even just regular home insurance riders that cover eBikes effectively? I'm curious about coverage for theft, damage, and especially liability. Any recommendations or warnings would be super helpful!

Hey there! Great question, especially with a Class 3 eMTB and those longer rides – you're right to feel exposed without proper coverage. I went through a similar search for my own eMTB. I've had good luck with Velosurance; they specifically understand eBikes, including Class 3, and offer comprehensive theft, damage, and liability coverage that's separate from my homeowner's policy, which often has limitations on motorized bikes.
